  • Making progress in America

    Congressman Bradley Byrne|Jun 7, 2018

These days, it is hard to turn on the television or log onto the Internet without being bombarded with the latest “news” of what is happening in Washington. The media gives far too much attention to names like Stormy Daniels and Roseanne instead of focusing on the wide range of substantive issues being debated in Congress each week. While it is easy to get distracted by all of the “noise,” it skews the perception of what is really occurring here in Washington. Ultimately, these stories are just a sideshow that end up taking away from the cri...

  • Buck's pocket to gain new members

    Steve Flowers|Jun 7, 2018

You voted Tuesday on a crowded ballot. Historically, in Alabama we have voted more heavily in our Governor’s race year than in a presidential year. That is probably because we were more interested in the local sheriff and probate judge’s races, which run in a gubernatorial year, than who is president. The old adage, “all politics is local,” definitely applies here in Alabama. We not only have a governor’s race this year, we have all secondary statewide offices with a good many of them open including Lt. Governor, Attorney General, State Treasur...

The self-described citizen journalist, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon who goes by Tommy Robinson publically, was arrested outside the Leeds Crown Court for “breach of the peace.” Robinson was livestreaming as he questioned defendants in a rape trial entering the court.
