Escambia County (Ala.) School Superintendent John Knott announced at its board meeting Aug. 16 that Rachel Patterson Elementary School was selected and designated an Alabama Bicentennial School based on their project proposal, “Pandas for Pets: Encouraging Community Involvement in the Animal Shelter”.
Rachel Patterson Elementary School and other selected schools participated in the Alabama Bicentennial Schools Ceremony and award presentation held at 10 a.m., on Friday, August 3, in the Alabama State Capitol.
