    The Atmore Police Department identified the man who was struck and killed by a train last Wednesday as Eric Edwards Smith, 40, of Atmore. Shortly after 1 p.m. on Feb. 6, Atmore police responded to a call in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a train at the railroad crossing at Martin Luther King Avenue.
