    Vernon L. Nyce, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2018. Mr. Nyce grew up in Bucks County, Pa. and married and moved to upstate New York in the Finger Lakes region. He and a few others started Seneca Community Church and he farmed, eventually acquiring more than 1000 acres. He later moved to Alabama where he could farm on a smaller scale.     Ollie James Strength, 96, of Atmore, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 in Atmore. Mr. Strength was born March 9, 1921 to Cary Merritt and Mary Ellen Hall Strength in Atmore and married on Feb. 6, 1942. Serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, the Koren War and later retiring from the Army National Guard, he was a member of the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars.
