Roy Allen Williams, 64, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 in Mobile.
Mr. Williams was a native of Washington, D.C. and former resident of Clarksdale, Miss. who had resided in Atmore for the past 32 years. A retired Road Master with CSX Railroad with 39 years of service, he was a member of ABT Messengers Singers and the Atmore Baptist Temple.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Odom officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cathy P. Williams of Atmore; three daughters, Megan Williams (Ed) Amerson and Lauren Williams (Jace) Beasley, both of Atmore, and Stacey Williams (Eric) Plant of Bratt, Fla.; one sister, Alecia Williams Green of Clarksdale, Miss.; and 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry R. and Betty Jo Williams; one brother, Jimmy Ray Williams; and one grandchild.
