Jack “Butch” Gordon Weaver, Jr., 65, of Cantonment, Fla., died Monday, Aug. 17, 2020, at Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Weaver was born Sept. 12, 1954, to Jack Gordon, Sr. and Sue (Watson) Weaver and graduated from Flomaton High School in 1972. He then attended Jefferson Davis Junior College in 1976 before he graduated with a bachelor of science in business management from Troy State University in 1976. Working as a locomotive engineer for CSX during his career from 1979 and retiring in Nov. 2019, he was a member of B.L.E.&T. and was a master mason in good standing since 1984.
A private family service was held with Faith Chapel Funeral Home North directing.
Mr. Weaver is survived by his wife, Karen Rene Weaver; one son, Jason Weaver; one daughter, Brandy (JT) Tyner; three grandchildren; his mother; one sister, J. Cordelia Reaves; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
