Church wants to partner

Sarah LeMesurier wants the student ministry at Flomaton Pentecostal Holiness Church (The Flo) to team up with the town of Flomaton to help make a difference in people's lives by reaching out beyond the walls of the church.

LeMesurier addressed the town council Monday night saying the youth group would love to get involved in events and projects within the community.

“Whether it is beautifying public property or helping someone in need who does not possess the resources and/or have physical limitations,” she said. “We want to help make our city a better place to live.

“We are hoping that in reaching out, beyond the walls of The Flo, we can not only build character in our teens, but connect with the community, local government officials and first responders,” she said. “We want them to understand how the governmental process works on a local level, as well as, understanding the leadership and authority that comes with overseeing the needs of the community.”

“We know that many people consider our youth the church of tomorrow,” she added. “But we consider them to be the church of today. We would love to be a part of the team that demonstrates the value and importance of making a difference to those around us just by showing they care.”
