Isham Gordon “I.G.” Nichols, Jr., 85, of Atmore, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, in Mobile.
Mr. Nichols was born May 14, 1934, to Isham Gordon, Sr. and Velma Nichols in Burnt Corn, Ala. A member of First Baptist Church of Atmore, he had attended Auburn (A.P.I) and was owner and operator of Nichols Department Store for many years, where he retired from. He served as a councilman with the City of Atmore and was a past president of the Atmore Jaycees.
