Brewton native interns with Byrne

Brewton native Trinidad Miller recently completed a summer internship in the Washington, D.C. office of Congressman Bradley Byrne (R-AL).

Miller is a senior at the University of Alabama, where he is majoring in Marketing with a double specialization in Sales and Services Marketing. He is planning to graduate from the University of Alabama next May.

During his internships, he assisted with legislative and administrative tasks including answering the phones, giving visitors tours of the U.S. Capitol, assisting with research, running errands, and attending hearings.

“Trinidad was a tremendous help to my office this summer, and he represented Escambia County exceedingly well,” said Byrne. “I know he has a bright future ahead, and I wish him all the best as he finishes up at the University of Alabama and begins the next chapter.”

“I am very fortunate and blessed to have had the opportunity to serve Alabama’s First District alongside Congressman Byrne and his staff for the past few weeks.,” said Miller. “This internship has been both engaging and rewarding. I am looking forward to using all that I have learned from this experience in my future endeavors. I could not have asked for a better office to intern with than Team Byrne and cannot thank them enough for providing me with this opportunity.”

Congressional internships are a valuable experience for students interested in the legislative process or the federal government.

Congressman Byrne accepts interns throughout the year. All interns must be in college or a recent college graduate at the time of their internship.
