Charles Cleveland Abney, Sr., 66, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at the Ambassadors Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Abney, known as “Per Wee,” was born May 6, 1951, to Fred and Lucille Meeks Abney in Atmore, Ala. Educated in the Escambia County Training School System in Atmore, he joined the Liberty Baptist Church and married Mary Lois Johnson. They moved to Detroit, where he became employed with Chrysler Corp and retired in 1999.
