A two-vehicle crash at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, has claimed the life of a Monroeville woman and injured another.
Machell Ann Scott, 39, was killed when the 2014 Hyundai Veloster she was driving collided with a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. Scott was pronounced dead on scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Larry Wheat of Frisco City, was injured and transported to the University of South Alabama Hospital in Mobile.
The crash occurred on U.S. 84 at the 75.8 mile marker, one mile west of Monroeville.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
