FPD seeks suspect in Subway break-in

Warrants were signed Wednesday for the arrest of a former Flomaton Subway employee, who is accused of kicking in the back door of the restaurant Tuesday night and taking an undisclosed amount of cash out of the safe.

Flomaton Police Department Lt. Chance Thompson said officers are looking for Patrick Davis Griffis, 26, who is wanted on charges of burglary III, theft of property I and criminal mischief III.

Thompson said Griffis has multiple addresses that include Flomaton.

The manager of the Flomaton Subway called police about 6 a.m. yesterday to report the break-in. Thompson said police responded to find the back door had been damaged. He also said evidence collected at the scene led to a possible suspect.

Thompson said officers were unsuccessful in locating Griffis Wednesday and is asking for the public's help in locating him.

Anyone with information about Griffis' whereabouts is asked to contact the police department at 251-296-5811.
