Flomaton woman is arrested

Accused of willful torture of a child

A Flomaton woman was jailed on $50,000 bond after being charged with willful torture of a child for injuries she's accused of inflicting on her 2-year old daughter.

Angela Wilson-Milosevich, 36, 1916 Jordan Road, turned herself in at the Flomaton Police Department Thanksgiving Day after learning of the arrest warrant. The charge is a Class C felony that carries a prison sentence of a year and a day to 10 years if convicted.

Flomaton Police Detective Chance Thompson said the Flomaton Police Department was first contacted by the Escambia County Department of Human Resources on Nov. 22 about the possible abuse.

Thompson said a caretaker of the child reported finding bruises on the child that day that did not exist on the child the day before.

Thompson said following an interview with Wilson-Milosevich a warrant for her arrest was obtained. He noted family members brought her to the police station on Nov. 23 where she was placed under arrest and transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
