    The Flomaton Fire Department and MedStar 16 will hold a benefit car wash cookout from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Flomaton Fire Department. Funds from the benefit will go to Flomaton High School student Kelsie Padgett, who is battling brain cancer. Kelsie is the daughter of Jeremy and Tracey Padgett of Flomaton. Sheriff's deputy for being suspected of impersonating a police officer ended up in the county jail on multiple drug charges after the officers found crystal and liquid methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
