The capital murder trial of Jonathan Michael Taylor was continued in March after his co-defendant Nadiya Diane Walker agreed to plead guilty and testify against him. Taylor’s murder trial two weeks ago ended in a mistrial over some missing or misplaced evidence and Escambia County District Attorney Steve Billy said Taylor’s murder trial will be reset for November. The Flomaton Police Department was investigating the murder of a Dixon Road resident Wednesday afternoon as the Tri-City Ledger was heading to press. A medical call came in about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday to the Dixon Road residence. As medical staff and police officers arrived it quickly turned to a homicide investigation. Phase I of the sewer lagoon upgrade project on Martin Luther King Drive in Flomaton should begin soon following Tuesday’s bid opening at Flomaton Town Hall. Triptek Construction of Atmore submitted the low bid of $387,000. The only other bid submitted was from Arrington Curb and Excavation for $470,432.
