    Century This Saturday, Century's Sawmill Day and Car Show and Atmore's Mayfest will offer the family fun activities, food and more. The Alger Sullivan Historical Society will kick of its annual Sawmill Day at 8 a.m., Saturday, May 7, with car registration for $25, which includes lunch for the driver.   • Atmore cats shot with arrows leads to plea for help

    Atmore police is seeking the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for killing at least two cats using a bow and arrow. Atmore Police Chief Chuck Brooks said two cats are now confirmed dead in the Fernway Drive area. One of the cats was found coming out of the woods with an arrow imbedded in its head and later died.
