Engineer placed on paid leave
Commission places Bridges on leave; engineering position on agenda for this Monday

Following an administrative workshop Tuesday afternoon by the Escambia County (Ala.) Commission, County Engineer Bill Bridges was placed on paid administrative leave and position of a county engineer will be on the agenda for Monday’s county commission meeting.
Commission Chairman Raymond Wiggins confirmed that Bridges had been placed on paid leave as of Tuesday afternoon.
Wiggins said the commission will consider the employment of an engineer at its meeting set for 9 a.m. Monday at the Escambia County Courthouse in Brewton.
Wiggins said he could make no further comment on the situation...
