Officers seize meth, pills and marijuana

Three Iowa residents were arrested on multiple drug charges in Escambia County, Ala., after officers found oxycodone, hydrocodone, methamphetamine and marijuana inside their vehicle.

Candy Joel Hart, 21, Demarlas V. Brown, 24, and Onterrail R. Altman, 43, all of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, were charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana I. Brown and Altman were also charged with possession of a concealed weapon without a permit.

Reports state the three were arrested July 15 on River Road South in Atmore. Officers reported finding 194 grams of marijuana, pills and meth.

Officers also found a pistol inside the vehicle and neither Altman or Brown had a permit. Records also state that Altman was a convicted felon from Iowa and the firearm was found within his reach. Altman was convicted on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge and later a felony count of possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine in 1999.
