Two charged with attempted murder

An employee with the city of Atmore and another man have been arrested on attempted murder charges for the Feb. 19 shooting of a 58-year old Atmore man.

Terry James Burrell, 52, 1145 Old Sardine Road, Flomaton, and Maurice White, 49, were both arrested following an investigation by the Atmore Police Department.

Atmore Police Chief Chuck Brooks said about 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 19, officers responded to the Patterson Street apartment complex in response to a male victim being assaulted with a firearm.
