Arrest made in Century shooting

Officers seek second suspect in shooting that left one dead, two injured

A shooting in Century Sunday night left one person dead, two others shot, and one Century resident arrested while the hunt continues for the third suspect involved.

Jaran Britt Myles, 26, 303 Backwoods Road was arrested Tuesday and faces multiple felony charges including homicide, possession of a weapon by a felon, drug possession and aggravated battery. Myles remains in Escambia County Jail with no bond. Suspect Tacorius Stallworth is still wanted and faces felony charges.

Around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Escambia County (Fla.) Sheriff's deputies responded to the 8200 block of Alger Road in reference to a possible shooting, according to Escambia County Public Information Officer Amber Southard.

When deputies arrived, they found one person dead and two others suffering from gunshot wounds.

Southard said the shooting appears to be drug related and the two surviving victims are being uncooperative. The name of the deceased has not been released and the condition of the other two gunshot victims was not available.
