Vehicle engulfed in flames

Thomas Phifer of Flomaton said he was traveling north on Highway 29 in Century Monday when the vehicle began to skip and then saw smoke coming from under the hood. He pulled over and said flames began coming from the hood. He escaped the burning car without any injuries.
