Sarah Ruth Chavers Eiland, 84, of Brewton, died Monday, March 30, 2020, in a local nursing facility following a brief illness.

Mrs. Eiland was born Oct. 28, 1935, in Brewton, where she was a lifelong resident. A member of the Catawba Springs Baptist Church and graduate of Flomaton High School, she was a homemaker and former employee of Chemstrand and Judy Bond.

A graveside service were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 4, at Catawba Springs Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Edwards and Rev. Steve Yuhasz officiating. Burial followed with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
