Colbert was not wearing a seatbelt when he was ejected, killed in crash
A 27-year old Monroeville man was killed and his passenger was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Flomaton that left Highway 31 closed to traffic for about three hours.
Samuel W. Colbert was killed after being ejected from the 2011 Jeep Cherokee he was driving. Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency stated Colbert was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, Zachry Alsop, 26 of Atlanta, Ga., was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. An update on his condition was not available.
