John R. Broughton, 55, died Sunday, March 8, 2020, in Bay Minette, Ala.
Mr. Broughton was a native and lifelong resident of Bay Minette who was of the Baptist faith.
The funeral was at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Wanda Hadley officiating. Burial followed at Johnson Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Broughton is survived by his wife, Shona Chastang of Whitehouse Fork, Ala.; two sons, John (Megan) Broughton, Jr. of Foley, Ala. and Cody (Michelle) Broughton of Robertsdale; two daughters, Chassity Broughton Richardson of Mississippi and Jessica (Nicholas) Froseth of Mobile, Ala.; one brother, Sean (Stephanie) Rice of Bay Minette; one sister, Teri Benton of Elberta, Ala.; and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Broughton was preceded in death by his biological mother, Margaret Benton; his father, John Robert Rice; one brother, Timmy Broughton; and one sister, Donna Broughton Taylor.
