Brewton man sentenced

Brewton resident Eric Scott Risley, 40, was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm and still faces additional drug charges in Escambia County (Ala.) Circuit Court for distribution and possession of a controlled substance.
U.S. Attorney Richard W. Moore announced that Risley was sentenced Feb. 27 after entering a guilty plea on November, 2019.
U.S. District Judge Terry F. Moore set the 57-month sentence, which is to be followed by three years of supervised probation. During the probation period, Risley will undergo testing and treatment for drug...
