James Edward Pipkin, Sr.

James Edward Pipkin, Sr., 86, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Ala.

Mr. Pipkin was a native of Stockton, Ala. and former resident of Booneville, Ala. for 24 years who had resided in Nokomis, Ala. Since 2000. A member of the Huxford Masonic Lodge #779, where he served as Master and was the district lecturer, he was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Stockton Chapter and of the Abba Shrine Temple of Mobile. He was a member of the Booneville Baptist Church and attended the Atmore First Assembly of God Church.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 19, at the Atmore First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Don Davis and Bro. Dave Taylor officiating. Burial followed at Booneville Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Honors and Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Pipkin is survived by one son, James (Gwen) Pipkin, Jr.; two daughters, Becky (Hodge) Walker and Catherine (Danny) Jordan; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous other extended family members.

Mr. Pipkin was preceded in death by his two wives, Gail Dunsford Pipkin and Evelyn Flowers McKinley Pipkin; his parents, Robert and Carrie Pipkin; two brothers, Robert Wendel and Ramsey Pipkin; and one sister, Mattie (Verlon) Stewart.
