Audrey Douglas Boyd, 97, of Brewton, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, in a Brewton medical facility after a brief illness.
Mrs. Boyd was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Roseboro, N.C. A former resident of Washington, N.J. and longtime resident of Brewton and homemaker, she was attended the W.S. Neal School system and was a member of the East Brewton First Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Watts officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by two sons, John (Johnnie Clyde) Boyd of Brewton and Kyle (Martha) Boyd of Asheville, N.C.; one brother, Carson Douglas of East Brewton; one sister, Dorothy Maddox of East Brewton; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband, Leonidas Les Boyd, Jr.; one son, Craig Boyd; and three brothers, Harold Douglas, Homer Douglas and Carson Douglas.
