Douglas Edward Clack

Douglas Edward Clack, 58, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Ala.

Mr. Clack was a native of Reidsville, N.C. and grew up in Brewton, where he was a 1981 graduate of W.S. Neal High School. He worked at D.W. McMillian hospital following graduation, and later with Alabama Ductile Company. After he moved to Atmore, he began working with Standard Furniture Company in Bay Minette.

The funeral was held at 12 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at The House of God Church which is the Church of the Living God The Pillar, Ground And Truth without Controversy in Atmore with Elder Dr. Jeanette Lott, Pastor officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery in Brewton with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.

Mr. Clack is survived by his wife, Cynthia Renae Clack of Atmore; three sons, Christopher (Sandra) Fountain, Sr. and Darrius Fountain, both of Brewton and Jeremiah Clack of Atmore; three daughters, Whitley (Demetrius, Sr.) Preyear and Mariah Campbell, both of Brewton, and Angelica Clack of Montgomery; one brother, Robert Clack of Brewton; three sisters, Roslyn Philon of Silas, Ala., Robin (Calvin) Green and Mary (Ollie) Bailey of Brewton; eight grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other extended family members.

Mr. Clack was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward and Sadie Ruth Clack; two brothers, Eugene Clack and James Morris; and numerous other family members.
