Van Roosevelt Smith, 62, of Atmore, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, at SAAD Hospice in Mobile.
Mr. Smith was a native of Greenville, Ala. who grew up in Brewton and graduated from Southern Normal School in 1975. Attending Kentucky State University and Auburn University, he received his bachelor of science in education. He worked for more than 30 years as a teacher and coach at Southern Normal, Baldwin County, Georgiana and J.F.
