Jamarreo Tyrone Lykes, 29, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, as a result of a house fire.
Mr. Lykes was a native of Atmore and had resided in Tuscaloosa for most of his life. A 2009 Holt High School graduate, he was employed with Wendy's restaurant for 12 years, where he had worked is way up from crew member to manager and finally to General Manager. He had also worked with Circle K stores in Tuscaloosa.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12, at Gaines Chapel AME Church in Atmore with Rev. Amos Smith and Evangelist Cindy Stots-Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
Mr. Lykes is survived by his mother, Towaka Townsend of Tuscaloosa; two sisters, Vialenisha Lykes and Niache Lykes, both of Tuscaloosa; two grandparents, Mildred Lykes of Atmore and Jimmy Lykes of Columbia, S.C.; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, co-workers and friends.
Mr. Lykes was preceded in death by one brother, Kwamane Lykes.
