Willie James Taylor, Sr., 77, died Friday, August 30, 2019.

Mr. Taylor was born July 9, 1943 to Willie Dean and Ethel L. Taylor in Century. He graduated from Georgia Washington Carver High School and the Florida Apostolic Bible College, earning a Bachelor's degree in Christian Education. Retired from the New York City Department of Corrections, he became a member of Bethel A.F.M. Church of God and served as a deacon, member of the male choir and the usher board.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at Bethel A.F.M. Church of God with Bishop Russell Fountain, Jr. officiating. B...
