Steve Nelson Rutherford, 73, died Friday, August 2, 2019 in Biloxi, Miss.
Mr. Rutherford was a native of Jay who had resided in Atmore for most of his life. Working as a truck driver, he was a wounded Vietnam Veteran and avid outdoorsman.
A visitation was held from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, August 5, at Lighthouse Temple Church of God with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Rutherford is survived by two sons, Ricky (Linda) Rutherford and Rocky Rutherford of Monroeville, Ala.; one daughter, Kristi Rutherford Taylor of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Pearl Sells and Mavis McGhee, both of Bay Minette; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Rutherford was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evelyn Rutherford; and one brother, Glenn Rutherford.
