Weldie Elihue Donald

Weldie Elihue Donald, of Atmore, died Saturday, July 6, 2019.

Mr. Donald was a lifetime resident of Atmore who was a 1957 graduate of Escambia County High School. After high school, he attended the University of Alabama and worked in the 707 lab at Monsanto for 38 years. A member of the Carney Masonic Lodge for more than 30 years, he became an avid outdoorsman after retirement.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 11, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Davis officiating. Burial followed at Serenity Gardens Cemetery with Masonic Honors and Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Donald is survived by his wife of 59 years, Loyce Donald; one daughter, Tracie Donald of Naples, Fla.; one sister, Lorraine Donald (Bill) May of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Mr. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Elihue and Hannas Donald; one sister, Virginia Miller; and one grandchild.
