Pedestrian attempts to cross Highway 29, hit by Century man

A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle Monday evening around 7 p.m. on Highway 29 in Century is in stable condition.

Karissa Carroll, 26, of Pensacola, was standing on the eastern sidewalk of Highway 29, south of Hecker Road Monday when she attempted to cross the road improperly in a westerly direction without using a marked crosswalk, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
