Burglary charge for Flomaton man

A Flomaton man is facing burglary and drug charges after police were dispatched to 2235 Wilkerson St., Friday afternoon in reference to someone being at an unoccupied residence who wasn't supposed to be there.

The caller described the suspect as a black male wearing a red shirt.

When Sgt. Wallace Carter and Assistant Chief Bennie Stokes arrived at 2:47 p.m. they found Hubert Lamar Johnson inside the house wearing a red hoodie.

Johnson, 40, 77 Martin Luther King Drive, was originally arrested for burglary III. As police were putting him into the patrol car they reported finding him in possession of methamphetamine, a marijuana cigarette and a pipe.

He was then charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (meth), unlawful possession of marijuana II and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
