Paul Cooper

Paul Cooper, 76, known affectionately as “The Short Coca Cola Man”, of Castleberry, Ala., died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 in a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Cooper was a native of Lenox, Ala. and lifelong resident pf Conecuh County, Ala. Of the Holiness faith, he was a retired logger and mechanic.

The funeral was held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Bros. Nathaniel Roach and Steve Pugh officiating. Burial followed at Cooper Cemetery in the Appleton Community and Craver's Funeral home of Brewton directing.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Cooper of Castleberry; two sons, Michael (Penny) Cooper of Lenox and Randy (Stacey) Cooper of Appleton; one daughter, Beverly (Michael) Blackmon of Castleberry; one brother, Stevie Cooper of Castleberry; three sisters, Jewel Stuckey of Skinnerton, Ala., Maxine (Gary) Benefield of Castleberry and Adell Hobbs of the Sandcut Community; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Ruthie Lee Cooper; and one great-grandchild.
