At Century's council meeting last Monday, the positions of council president and vice president were decided by the three of five council members in attendance.
Councilman Ben Boutwell nominated Councilwoman Ann Brooks for president. There were no other nominations made.
Brooks won in a vote of two to one, with Councilwoman Sandra McMurray Jackson voting no.
Jackson nominated Boutwell as vice president. All three members voted yes.
Brooks remains president of the council and Boutwell will remain vice president.
