David Max Curran

David Max Curran, 67, of Brewton, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 in a local hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Curran was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton and member of the East Brewton First Baptist Church. A 1969 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, South Alabama and Troy [State] University, he was a retired principal from the Flomaton Elementary School and had been employed with the Escambia County School system for 37 years.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Hawsey officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Curran is survived by his wife, Debbie White Curran of Brewton; and 16 grandchildren.

Mr. Curran was preceded in death by his parents, Max William and Tiny Mae Lee Curran; and two sons, Michael David Curran and Brady Patrick Curran.
