Drug arrests in E. Brewton

East Brewton police arrested three people on drug charges and have active felony warrants on a fourth who was found earlier with 10 bags of marijuana.

Winston Eric Burch, 20, 41574 Highway 31, Brewton, was issued a citation for unlawful possession of marijuana II after police responded to a suspicious person complaint Dec. 16.

An officer responded to Curran Circle in East Brewton and made contact with Burch inside his vehicle. The officer reported smelling marijuana and Burch admitted he had marijuana and gave the officer the small bag he had. He was issued a citation and freed from the scene.

Trevor Kenyan Burns, 23, 93 Hamilton St., Brewton, was arrested Dec. 6 and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Ecstasy) and unlawful possession of marijuana II.

Officer Brandon Mealer observed Burns run a stop sign at the intersection of Dailey Street and Forrest Avenue and initiated a traffic stop. Mealer reported smelling the odor of marijuana when he approached the vehicle and was given consent to search.

While patting down Burns he reported finding a bag of Ecstasy in his front right pocket and marijuana in his jacket pocket.

Burns was arrested and transported to the Escambia County Detention Center, where he remains.

Anthony Brad Davis, 41, 737 Williamson St., Apartment F1, East Brewton, was arrested Dec. 12 and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Corporal Derrick Hodges observed Davis driving a vehicle with knowledge his driver's license had been revoked. He reported Davis tried to hide something behind the passenger seat. Officer Hodges then recovered a blue plastic container that contained about 1 gram of meth behind the passenger seat.

He was arrested and transported to the Escambia County Detention Center.

Faircloth sought

East Brewton police have felony drug warrants for the arrest of Carl Faircloth, 19, 1202 Forrest Ave., East Brewton for unlawful possession of marijuana I.

Faircloth was originally pulled over on a traffic stop and officers found 10 small bags of marijuana inside the vehicle. Faircloth was allowed to leave the scene with the stipulation he come to the police station a few days later but he never showed up.
