Deceased believed to be missing person
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office began a non-stop weekend search following the discovery Sunday of a shallow grave in the wooded area of 7796 Highway 4 in Jay, Fla.
Authorities received information about a missing person's case from May 2018 on Friday, Dec. 14 and immediately obtained a search warrant for that address.
An autopsy will confirm the identity of the deceased, but all indicators point to a 38-year-old female named Felecia Kuswandy, who occasionally stayed at the same address as the search warrant issued.
“An autopsy can tell a lot about the deceased,” said Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office Sergeant Rich Aloy. “It can tell us the cause of death, any toxicology and the identification of the deceased.”
The case is being investigated as a homicide and remains active. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
