Creek division hires­­ new CEO

Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority (CIEDA) has announced the appointment of Cody Williamson as the new President and CEO.

Before moving into the current position, Mr. Williamson served as a member of the CIEDA board of directors for three years in addition to holding high ranking positions with Wind Creek Hospitality. Most recently he held the position of Vice-President of Regulatory Compliance and before that he was the Property Manager of Wind Creek Wetumpka for over six years. Additionally, Mr. Williamson has served as the Director of Purchasing for PCI Gaming and as an attorney for the Poarch Creek Tribal Legal office.

Williamson holds a finance degree from the University of Alabama, as well as a law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.

He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will enhance the Tribe’s portfolio of businesses, and will move us forward into the next decade with growth and development,” commented Stephanie A. Bryan, Tribal Chair and CEO, Poarch Band of Creek Indians.

Through the years, Mr. Williamson has served in a variety of civic capacities, including as a board member for the Wetumpka Chamber of Commerce and the Elmore County Economic Development Authority as well as a member of the Wetumpka Rotary Club, the Montgomery Lion's Club, and the Wetumpka Gateway Commission.

“As a board member, I have been witness to CIEDA’s growth over the past three years,” said Cody Williamson. “We have an aggressive vision for the future of CIEDA and its task of diversifying the Tribe’s portfolio with high performing business ventures. I believe there is limitless potential to what we can achieve.
