New doctor at Brewton hospital

The Brewton Medical Center and D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital are pleased to announce that Melissa Kilcrease, Nurse Practitioner, has accepted the position of hospitalist. Better known as Missy, she fills the position previously held by Lisa Hoehn. Prior to joining the Brewton Medical Center, Missy worked as a Registered Nurse at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital.

“We are excited to announce that Missy has joined our team,” said Tommy Shehan, administrator for the Brewton Medical Center. The hospitalist program has been beneficial having a physician or nurse practitioner readily available. Having Missy join us we are hopeful to continue to provide quality care for the patients in our community.”

Missy joins the Brewton Medical Center after recently serving as a registered nurse for D.W. McMillan Hospital in several roles including ICU, Medical Surgical and as house supervisor. Missy received her Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from Auburn University. She also attended Western Governors University for her Bachelors in Nursing and Jefferson Davis Community College for her Associates Degree.
