When Flomaton quarterback Daquan Johnson scored a touchdown with 3:55 left in the game Friday night at Thomasville to pull the Hurricanes to within one point of the Tigers it was gut-check time. Head coach Doug Vickery first considered kicking the extra point and hope for overtime. His players convinced him otherwise.
Johnson kept the ball on a two-point try and barely made it into the end zone to seal Flomaton's 43-42 win over the Class 3A 6th ranked Thomasville Tigers.
