Moye's body identified as last victim

Three Flomaton residents died from flash flood in Junction, Texas

The body of the last of three missing Flomaton residents who were swept away by floodwaters on Oct. 8 in Junction, Texas has been positively identified as Charlotte Moye, 63.

The bodies of Joesph Huss Jr., 55, and Michael McGee, 65, had been previously recovered.

Moye's body was found last Tuesday some 90 miles down stream from the RV park on the Llano River in Junction. Her body was positively identified Friday.

A fourth body, identified as Davin Hartman of San Angelo, Texas, was also recovered from the flood waters.

Huss, McGee and Moye were with a group of three other Flomaton residents, Todd Shultz, Darlene Huss and Janet Shultz, who were staying at the campground when it was engulfed with floodwaters.

Todd Shultz and Darlene Huss were rescued early on the morning Oct. 8 and Janet Shultz was rescued about 20 to 25 miles down stream of the RV park.

Kimble County Sheriff Hilario Cantu, announced Friday that Moye's body had been positively identified.

Sheriff Cantu said about 20 people were rescued from the flood and another 40 were warned early enough to flee to avoid becoming victims.

Huss' funeral was held Friday, Oct. 19 at Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Dorsey McDonald officiating. Burial was held at Green Acres Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Moye's funeral was held Wednesday at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Bethea officiating.

McGee's funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at St. Francis Cathedral in Houma, La. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
