Lillie Mae Boykins Simmons, 72, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018.
Mrs. Simmons was born May 20, 1946 to Julius and Mary Lelia Boykins in Atmore, Ala. and attended Escambia County Training School. When she lived in Pahokee, Fla., she was a member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church for more than 30 years. After returning to Atmore, she attended Greater Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, where she had attended as a youngster.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, at Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center with Bishop Catadro North officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemet...
