Etta Jeanette Godwin, 85, of Evergreen, Ala., died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 at the Brewton hospital.
Mrs. Godwin was a lifelong resident of Conecuh County, Ala. who was a member of the 1951 Repton High School graduating class. A member of Holly Grove United Methodist Church, she had worked as a seamstress at Judy Bond for several years.
The funeral was held at Baggett's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Bro. Buddy Williams officiating. Burial followed with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Godwin is survived by her husband of 64 years, P.J. Godwin of Castleberry; two sons, Johnny (Paula) Godwin of Castleberry and Tony (Lisa) Godwin of Brewton; three brothers, Shelton Baggett of Montgomery, Franklin Baggett of Fairhope, Ala. and Vernon Baggett of Repton, Ala.; six sisters, Mary Nell Butts of Saraland, Ala., Virginia McInnis of Repton, Judy Dean of Peterman, Ala., Thelma Snow of Mobile, Betty Eddins of DeFuniak Springs and Linda Capps of Grand Bay, Ala.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Godwin was preceded in death by one son, Lavon Godwin.
