Robert Lee Barnett, 82, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 in Castleberry, Ala.
Mr. Barnett was a lifelong resident of Conecuh County, Ala. A member of the London Baptist Church, he retired as a shop foreman and welder for Pugh and Son with more than 44 years of service and served as the Sandcut Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief for 15 years.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, at London Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas White officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bessie Ruth Barnett of Castleberry; three daughters, Teresa (Darwin) Covin of Evergreen, Ala., and Tammy (Darrell) Salter and Rhonda (Greg) Johnson, both of Castleberry; one brother, William (Marie) Barnett of Castleberry; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Bessie Barnett; and one brother, James Barnett.
