Roger A. Vogel, 80, of Atmore, died Saturday, June 30, 2018 in Bay Minette, Ala.
Mr. Vogel was born May 4, 1938, to Robert John and Vera Myrtle Jones Vogel in Council Bluffs, Iowa. A retired custodian from the Escambia County (Ala.) school system and Army National Guard, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Atmore.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 6, at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Brennan Peacock officiating. Burial followed with Johnson-Quimby Funeral home directing.
Mr. Vogel is survived by one sister, Marlene V. (Reese) Walker of Mobile; one nephew, Stephen Walker; and one niece, Stephanie (Clyde) Walker-James.
Mr. Vogel was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Vogel; one daughter, Laura Vogel; and his parents.
