Dorothy Peebles, 81, died Friday, July 6, 2018 in Jay, Fla.
Mrs. Peebles resided in Bratt most of her adult life. A homemaker, she also worked at Vanity Fair and the ribbon factory in Atmore. She was a member of Bratt Assembly of God Church and worked sitting, tending to those who could not leave their homes.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, at Bratt Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ronald Broadhead officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Peebles is survived by four sons, Ricky (Becka) Peebles of Davisville, Roger (Rene) Peebles of McCullough, Randall (Cindy) Peebles of Flomaton and Ronald (Darlene) Peebles of Bratt; one sister, Bonnie Mae Peebles of Bratt; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Mrs. Peebles was preceded in death by her husband, Wilborn Peebles; her parents, Coy and Willie Mae Gunn; four siblings, Lonnie Ray Gunn, Mildred Gunn, Francis Gunn and Wilton Ledkins; one grandchild; and other family members.
