New arrest in murder case

Three in jail, one other arrested for felony accessory after the fact

A fourth person has been arrested and charged with two counts felony accessory in the murder of one man whose body was found June 3 in a truck on Deer Creek Road in Atmore and attempted murder on another who survived a gunshot and was able to get help from a passing motorist.

Jessica Nichole Thomas, 30, 5490 Highway 164, Walnut Hill, was arrested and charged with two counts felony accessory to homicide when it was discovered that Thomas and two of the suspects arrested share the residence where the victims, Dalton Davis and Troy Boutwell, were shot, according to an Escambia County Sheriff's office report.

Thomas' ex husband, Christopher Allen Stacey, and his son, Christopher James Logan Stacey, live at the residence where the couch the surviving gunshot victim, Boutwell, stated he was sitting when he was shot. The couch was found burning in the back yard when law enforcement arrived. The fire was extinguished and the couch was taken as evidence in the case.

The report stated Boutwell revealed he was shot because he was in an argument with Thomas' ex husband, Stacey.

Thomas was arrested after a warrant affidavit for accessory after the fact murder, and accessory after the fact attempted murder was issued. Each charge carries a bond of $250,000.
